Density Range
Visibly denser hair
The Density products have been developed to increase hair mass, strengthen the fibre and promote visibly more resistant and vitality-filled hair.
Thanks to a combination of targeted active ingredients and clinically tested formulas, the products in the range act on hair density.
Clinically proven efficacy
Each product in the Density range has been the subject of a dedicated clinical study to evaluate its efficacy on the number of hairs in the anagen phase (growth phase).
The clinical study is conducted under dermatological supervision to evaluate the product's efficacy on hair density.
It is carried out over 12 weeks with 32 to 54 volunteers presenting with telogen effluvium hair loss.
Evaluations are performed before use (T0) and then after 4, 8 and 12 weeks of product use.
THE METHOD
Scientific analysis of the hair cycle
Performance was measured using a phototrichogram, a scientific imaging technique that enables precise analysis of hair density and the hair cycle.
The study consists of:
- Analysing a targeted area of the scalp.
- This area is shaved, cleaned and stained then photographed, with a second photo taken 48 hours later.
- A photograph is taken, then a second photo 48 hours later.
- The images then allow measurement, via software, of:
- total hair density
- the density and proportion of hairs in the resting phase (telogen)
- the density and proportion of hairs in the growth phase (anagen)
- as well as the anagen/telogen ratio
An increase in the number of hairs in the anagen phase reflects enhanced hair density, with visibly fuller hair.
Scientific analysis of the hair cycle
The phototrichogram enables precise analysis of hair density and the hair life cycle.
This technology measures several key parameters:
Hair density
Total number of hairs per cm² in the anagen phase.
Hair growth cycle
Each hair is identified according to its phase:
- Anagen phase: active growth phase
- Telogen phase: shedding phase
Anagen / telogen ratio
The higher the ratio of hairs in the anagen / telogen phase, the denser and visibly fuller the hair.
STUDY RESULTS
Clinical studies
*Density Shampoo:
*clinical study, 33 people, average increase in the number of existing hairs in the anagen phase (growth phase) of 11.3 hairs per cm2, after 12 weeks of application 3 times per week.
Density Conditioner:
clinical study, 32 people, average increase in the number of existing hairs in the anagen phase (growth phase) of 12.2 hairs per cm2, after 12 weeks of application 3 times per week.
Density Mask:
clinical study, 33 people, average increase in the number of existing hairs in the anagen phase (growth phase) of 12.7 hairs per cm2, after 12 weeks of application 3 times per week.
Density Serum:
clinical study, 54 volunteers: average increase in hair density in the growth phase (anagen phase) of 27.7 hairs per cm2 after 3 months of application, with twice-daily application of the product to the scalp.
