Clinical study of the shine routine

Hair radiance is measured at different stages:

• Before degradation: initial measurement
• After voluntary degradation of the hair
• After the first application of the routine

Then after 24 h, 72 h and 96 h

An additional measurement is taken after 8 applications, i.e. approximately 1 month of use.

Shine is measured using a professional spectrophotometer, utilising a gloss indicator at 8°, enabling precise evaluation of the radiance and mirror shine of the hair.

The strands are placed in a controlled climate chamber to ensure the reliability and reproducibility of the results.

The strands are subjected to controlled humidity conditions in order to evaluate the hair's resistance to frizz.

Measurements are taken:

• before treatment
• after application of the routine
• then after 24 h, 48 h, 72 h and 96 h
  

The hair is placed in a climate chamber:

Temperature: 30 °C
Relative humidity: 70–80 %

The anti-frizz effect is visually assessed by an expert based on a defined scale. 

Hydration is measured:

• before hair degradation
• after degradation
• after treatment with the routine
• then after 24 h, 72 h and 96 h
  
  

The structure of the hair fibre is also analysed under an electron microscope (SEM) in order to observe:

• the closing of the cuticles
• the reduction of damage
• the improvement of the hair surface.

The water content of the hair is measured using an evaporimeter
