The Thickening Protocols have been developed to act directly on the hair fibre and visibly increase hair thickness, without weighing it down.

The efficacy of the protocols has been evaluated through 4 independent ex vivo tests, complemented by scientific observations in the laboratory, in order to precisely measure the increase in hair diameter.

EVALUATION PROTOCOLS

Scientific methodology

Ex vivo studies are conducted on strands of natural human hair.

The protocol consists of:

  1. Measuring the hair diameter before application
  2. Applying the full thickening protocol 
  3. Measuring the hair fibre diameter again using a scanning electron microscope (SEM), which uses an electron beam to measure the hair diameter at the μm scale. The measurement is taken immediately after application of the protocol.
  4. After 16 applications of the protocol (2 months), the diameter measurement is carried out again

On each strand, several hairs are carefully selected in order to take precise measurements at the core of the hair fibre.
